Alex Stavros
Alex Stavros is the former search-CEO at Embark Behavioral Health, a network of therapy centers for adolescents and young adults.
During his 13 years as the CEO of Embark Behavioral Health, his team shifted the business from entirely private pay to majority third party reimbursed, and expanded the initial company (acquired via a search fund) from a single site serving 48 clients annually with 95 employees, to a national leader in youth behavioral health, serving thousands of youths a year, with over 1,600 professionals, & 38 programs in 20 states — leading to a capital efficient 40-fold increase in revenue to $180M (via de novos, organic growth, & acquisitions); and generating a net 38x MOIC to his original search fund investors.
Prior to Embark, Alex was the Managing Partner of Lia Capital Partners, focused on growing the impact of mission-driven businesses. And prior to then was the Associate Director of Firm Wide Operations – working directly for the President of Cambridge Associates, the world’s largest investment advisory firm to not for profits. Today Alex is Chairman of the Board for Peruvian Partners, a nonprofit established to connect North American families with Peruvian families that live in abject poverty.
Alex holds and MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business with a focus on Social Entrepreneurship. He is happily married to his wife, Maria-Paz, and have two children. Together they are stewarding P410 Hospitality, a family holding company comprised of small service oriented businesses that exist to share God’s love in their community, through kindness and service.
